@INTechWLAX Adds Foest, Banks to 2015 Class

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech Women's Lacrosse team is proud to announce the signing of a pair of Canadians in Jennifer Banks of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Sabrina Foest of Toronto, Ontario.

Jennifer Banks – Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada – Halifax West High School

The 5-foor-4 attacking midfielder was a member of the 2013 Metro Minor Lacrosse League Champions, Banks the Midget girls in goals, assists and points. She is a five-time Metro Minor Lacrosse League champion while earning multiple MVP awards across several teams.

Banks also excelled in the classroom, receiving multiple awards for the highest grade average, earned best all-round student honors and was on the principal's list multiple times.

Banks hopes to not only contribute to the Warriors women's lacrosse program but to earn a degree in Biomedical Engineering before heading to medical school and helping others in her area gain a college education. She chose Indiana Tech because "Tech offers a unique program that opens many doors of opportunity. The state of the art equipment and small class sizes ensure that I will be receiving an exceptional education. The lure of a small school was also very attractive."

The daughter of William and Pamela Banks plans to major in Biomedical Engineering in the Fall.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Foest comes to Tech from Monsignor Percy Johnson High School and the Mimico Mountaineers lacrosse program. Foest also received several non-athletic awards, including the French extended certificate of achievement, the Argos Anti-Bullying Award and Stop the Stigma Award. She also received the Principal's Certificate of Honor, Monsignor Percy Johnson Junior Spirit Award and was on the honor roll all four years.

Foest aims to improve her skills and make a difference on the Warriors and chose to come to Indiana Tech "because I really like the small city feel of Fort Wayne, the compact campus and small class sizes. The welcoming and supportive staff made me feel at home the minute I stepped on campus."
